August 1 - Our former District President, Dr. Gerhard Michael Jr., will preach God's Word to the assembled saints at Living Faith.

Education
VOYAGER COURSE 3: POSITION - This 12 week course confirms people in their Baptismal identity as they face the mounting challenges of 21st century North America. Before every believer figures out "what they should do" they need to figure out "who they are." POSITION grounds people in the conferred dignity of the redeemed of God. This course will be taught in the sanctuary by Elder Jim Cuckler.
VOYAGER COURSE 4: VOCATION - This 6 week course helps people discover their calling (vocation) from God, their spiritual gifts, and how to joyfully use those gifts in service to the Lord. This course is immediately follow up by COURSE 5: MISSION - This 6 week course trains people to be effective Law / Gospel evangelists in their homes and community. This course will be taught by Elder Jay Esche in the sanctuary.
THE BIBLE STUDY ON ROMANS begins on July 11th. This is a book that serves as a foundation of so much that we believe, teach, and confess. The study is taught by Vicar Simms.

ST. PETER LUTHERAN CHURCH - In March of 2008, Living Faith Lutheran Church sent evangelists to Daholonega to proclaim the Good News. The new mission is flourishing by grace of our Lord Jesus Christ under the administration of Elder Wayne Kuhlmann. You may visit St. Peter's website at www.stpeter-lutheran.org.
MISSION IN GWINNETT - Living Faith Lutheran Church has begun mission work in Gwinnett County. This work has been initiated by Vicar Aaron Simms. Vicar Simms is preparing for the Office of the Holy Ministry and will eventually serve as the church planter in this area. You may find out about this work by going to www.biblestudygwinnett.com.
MISSIONARY TO ATLANTA - Pastor Stephen Wiggins has been called by the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod to start churches and raise up new leaders within the city of Atlanta. His home base is Christ Lutheran in East Point but he has already begun new work in Riverdale. You may contact Pastor Wiggins to see the resource and volunteer needs that will help the new mission in flourish. HOPE TO THE HOMELESS - Motivated by the revealed heart and mind of Christ our Lord, Pastor Joseph Song of Korean Community Lutheran Church has initiated bold action within the heart of Atlanta to bring hope to the homeless. He leads worship outside at two different sites within the city and extends with warmth the mercy of Christ in word and deed. Following the service, 150-200 people are fed and cared for. Pastor Song has the desire to open a training center in 2010 that would prepare the homeless in Atlanta with different skill sets for future employment. Youth
STUDENT MINISTRY - Junior high students (6th-8th graders) meet every Wednesday evening during the school year (September-April) at 7 P.M. for instruction before confirming their faith. Senior high students (9th-12th) also meet every Wednesday night during the school year at 7 P.M.
CAMP LINN HAVEN - Each year all 6th-8th graders are eligible to attend our yearly retreat at Camp Linn Haven. This year's retreat is July 11-17.
HIGHER THINGS CONFERENCE - This year all high school students will be attending the Higher Things Conference in Memphis, Tennessee. The theme this year is GIVEN. This event is July 6-9.
NATIONAL YOUTH GATHERING - This large scale event takes place once every three years and is a great opportunity to bring someone who is new the Christian faith. This year's event "We Believe" is July 17-21.
Stewardship
GIVING FAITH MINISTRY CAMPAIGN - As we prepare for our congregation to purchase land, we have dedicated ourselves to this three year campaign to give sacrificially above our weekly giving. All the offerings that come in designated for the Giving Faith Ministry Campaign will go to the site of our future church site and building. As you consider how to participate, bring to mind that our motivation for giving is the priceless grace we have received in our Lord Jesus Christ.

The purpose of this account is to provide an alternate means of receiving donations from congregation members and others to support the church's mission. With this account, donations of stock or other equities can be made directly to the church's account. This can be done by simply informing your stock broker. CONGREGATION MEETINGS - The Lord is blessing and moving our congregation! As a committed member of the body of Christ here at Living Faith, our congregational meetings are a great time to reflect on God's faithfulness to us in the past and our hope in His mighty action for the years to come.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT MEAL - Join us on Wednesday nights at 6:00 p.m. for a meal and fellowship leading up to Bible study for all ages.
