Education

WEDNESDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY - Starting January 11, Living Faith will offer all new studies for members and non-members.  The Wednesday night study for adults will be Voyager Course 4: VOCATION.  This course helps people discover their calling (vocation) from God, their spiritual gifts, and how to joyfully use those gifts in service to the Lord.  This course will be taught by Del Bartling and will begin at 7:00 P.M.

THE BIBLE STUDY ON THE BOOK OF GALATIANS - This Bible study begins on January 8th.  This study will help you to understand the freedom of the Gospel and how to live, walk, and talk in that freedom.  GALATIANS will be led by Bill Frerking.
 
VOYAGER COURSE 1: FOUNDATION thoroughly grounds people in the inspired Word of God and will lay a bedrock foundation for your life from the accurate teaching of the apostolic, Christian Church. This course will introduce you to confessional Lutheran teaching and is required for membership at Living Faith. This course will begin your journey at Living Faith and is offered on Sunday mornings at 9:30 AM in the sanctuary. A new FOUNDATION course begins the 1st and 3rd quarter (January and July).

ST. PETER LUTHERAN CHURCH - In March of 2008, Living Faith Lutheran Church sent evangelists to Dahlonega to proclaim the Good News.  You may visit St. Peter's website at www.stpeter-lutheran.org. 

MISSION IN GWINNETT - Living Faith Lutheran Church has begun mission work in Gwinnett County. This work has been initiated by Vicar Aaron Simms. Vicar Simms is preparing for the Office of the Holy Ministry and will eventually serve as the church planter in this area. IN GOD WE TRUST LUTHERAN MISSION - Evangelist Isaac Baroi and his family work with many Hindu and Muslim families to bring them the news of the risen Christ.  They are members of Living Faith but the focus of their work is in Clarkston.  Please pray for them as they reveal the mercy of Jesus to these families.  Eventually this outpost of the Gospel will give birth to a Word and Sacrament Church.  He can be reached at (404) 754-0281.

STEPPING STONE LUTHERAN MISSION - Motivated by the revealed heart and mind of Christ our Lord, Pastor Joseph Song has initiated bold action within the heart of Atlanta to bring hope to the homeless. He leads worship outside at two different sites within the city and extends with warmth the mercy of Christ in word and deed.  Pastor Song has the desire to open a training center that would prepare the homeless in Atlanta with different skill sets for future employment. His vision is to build a Word and Sacrament Ministry to the homeless of Atlanta by 2012. To join Pastor Song in this effort, contact him at (404) 429-9072 or e-mail him at jchsong@hotmail.com.

 Youth

STUDENT MINISTRY - Junior high students (6th-8th graders) meet every Wednesday evening during the school year (September-April) at 7 P.M. for instruction before confirming their faith. Senior high students (9th-12th) also meet every Wednesday night during the school year at 7 P.M.

CAMP LINN HAVEN - Each year all 6th-8th graders are eligible to attend our yearly retreat at Camp Linn Haven. The retreat for 2012 will be posted soon.

HIGHER THINGS CONFERENCE - This year all high school students will be attending the Higher Things Conference in Winston - Salem, North Carolina on the beautiful Wake Forest Campus.  The title of the 2012 Conference is "Twelve."  To register, simply call Cindy Warnke at (706) 974-8930.

NATIONAL YOUTH GATHERING - This large scale event takes place once every three years and is a great opportunity to bring someone who is new the Christian faith. The next gathering will be in the year 2013.

WORLD VIEW EVERLASTING - If you want to add something solid to your life of witness, investigate www.worldvieweverlasting.com. These podcasts from Rev. Jonathon Fisk will put some added depth into your confession of Christ and His saving Gospel.

GROWING FAITH BUILDING CAMPAIGN - The Lord in His perfect time has answered our prayers and provided us with 8.35 acres on Hwy 9.  With the same trust in our gracious Lord Who brought us this far, we prepare for the Growing Faith Building Campaign.  All offerings designated for this campaign will go to our future site and church building.  As you consider how to participate, bring to mind that our motivation for giving is the priceless grace we have received in our Lord Jesus Christ.  Access the Growing Faith Building Campaign book by clicking here -  Access the pledge form by clicking here -

 Fellowship

CONGREGATIONAL MEETINGS - The Lord is blessing and moving our congregation! As a committed member of the body of Christ here at Living Faith, our congregational meetings are a great time to reflect on God's faithfulness to us in the past and our hope in His mighty action for the years to come.  Congregation meetings that have been scheduled for the year 2012 on the following Sundays: February 12 at 9:00 A.M., July 22 (time yet determined), and December 2 (time yet determined).

WEDNESDAY NIGHT SUPPER - Join us on Wednesday nights at 6:00 p.m. for supper and fellowship leading up to Bible study for all ages.
